As far as I know, you should have no problem paying on the night. If you bring 5,000 friends with you, they'll have no problem either.

You will get one easily, if you think it will be packed then its obvious you aint been to a game for some time

I spot more man u than villa shirts in Walsall. At least theyve won something in the past decade.

Ha nice one yoda,
Im a stay away only catching away games up in the grim North these days, but time off work and the slight glimmer of hope in changes at the top
has given me (probably wrongly) some sort of motivation to go.

Just bring the whole of Sunderland. They'll all get in.
Infact, bring the whole of North East England.

If we follow the logic of inbred viles at my work, the game sold out months ago. According to them villa have "the best travelling support in the country". They make out they can never go to games as absolutely every ticket is snatched up like golddust. So surely flogging 8,000 tickets for a game literally on your doorstep is no problem then vilens? hmm, its gone quiet.

yh thats a high opinion of themselves but i would agree they have fantastic away support

i use to think that they were rubbish supporters with one song

villa , villa, villa ,villa (sounding like a load of seals)

but i went to 2 away games last year

(pompey in the quater final of the carling cup, and wigan away in the prem)

the pompey game from were i was looking was a sell out, same with the wigan game and wigan gave them the entire end

their also very good with unique songs

and even if there playing frustraingly bad there fans are sitll very loud

when we was in the championship and we went away the atmosphere was always brilliant and i felt that the proper fans were always going to be there as loud and proud as ever

but in the past few years its been pretty poor

i remember reading in the cup when we won on pens and are old favourite martin butler missed

and when we took blackburn to penalties and i think wraky missed both amazing nights with amazing walsall support

They were on a cup run last year and expected to push the top4 to the limit. Not only were away tickets in demand in order to get the cup games and wembley tickets, it's no good judging a teams support during one good season. I believe people on here spend a lot of time saying if we had a cup run and a push at automatic promotion, our crowds would be fantastic.

I just think they do nothing but talk themselves up when there supports really no better than Newcastle, tottenham, etc

I agree, in fact it is quite a pleasant surprise to find someone else who feels the same as I do.

My dislike of Villa comes from a very young age. Playing football on Pelsall common (down the bottom bit by Allens lane shops) My mates all supported Villa, I was constantly ribbed, sneered at, and to be quite frank bullied by them. Not in a physical sense, but you know the kind of stuff, Walsall begins with the same letter as a particular swear word etc etc.

It never bothered me as such, all the, Walsall are s***, "We've got Liverpool this week, who you got Nott's County?" Blah Blah Blah, I always used to say, at least I follow my local team, to which they replied "Villa is a midlands side" While they were stuck on the common on a saturday afternoon, I was off to the match, home and away. It really grated with them really, cos they didn't even know where Villa Park was. They had the same cocky attitude then, as you describe in your post.

The second thing my Dad taught me after telling me I must follow Walsall until I die, was to s*** on the Villa, I didn't need telling, but his dislike of Villa came for the same kind of reasons, he used to drink in Rushall quite a bit, and it was filled with Villa fans, they really are a different breed. Although I have a dislike of Wolves, I never quite took it to the same lengths as some Walsall fans, because those disgusting creatures who wear those claret and blue shirts, really are the scum of the earth.

I have seen us beat Wolves, Villa, Albion (many times) and Blues, as most of us have, and I know some of the older fans have seen us beat Villa in a competetive game. If I could have one wish football wise, that would be my wish, just once to wipe the smile of those smug barstools faces.

Id rather be a Walsall W*****r than a Villa scumbag.

Those kids who bullied you should of been culled at Birth, and all Villa fans made sterile.

One of the very few benefits of being an old 'un. January 2, 1971, Fellows Park. Walsall 3 Aston Villa 0. I can still remember the attendance, 19,203.

My Dad and my brother and I had our usual spot just to the left of the goals at The Street End. I used to sit on the wall, with my legs into the crowd. Usually we would move down towards the Laundry End when we were kicking that way, but because the ground was so full we had to stay put.

Our two wide players, Geoff Morris (2) and Colin Taylor scored our goals, and I seem to remember that one of the Villa's wide players, a certain Ray Graydon missed a penalty for them.

Although the game took place in Div 3, the Villa did have a decent team, and were in the League Cup Final a few months after we beat them.

We also managed a draw at Villa Park later that season. These two results turned out to be vital for us because we avoided relegation on goal average that season.

I think saying 99% of villians is a slight generalisation. I know plenty of villa fans who are sound and always want Walsall to do well.

Never had a massive problem with the Villa, Just see them as the lesser of the 2 evils of brum. Blue Noses are dirty scummers and in comparison villa are alright. Same with the Wolves being scummers and Baggies being alright

99% of villa fans I know believe the club has no debt. These people are mainly independent of each other (no more than 4 clustered together) so we can either use this as a sample or if it makes people feel better I can reword it to '99% of villa fans I know belive the club is debt free' - which is still a lot as I know quite a few.
