Postby Duke » Sun Sep 28, 2008 9:35 am

The Bulls start to the season.

Orient- away - lost 1-2
Yeovil - home - lost 1-2
Bristol R -away - lost 1-6
Crewe - home - won 2-0
Swindon - home-drew 1-1
Southend - away -lost 0-1
Scunthorpe - home -lost 1-2
Leeds - away -lost 0-1

Potential banana skin ?, Graham Turner's team are sitting bottom of league 1 on 4 points from 8 games.
Complacency is our main threat.
The game is not all tickets but travelling Saddlers are advised to purchase match tickets to avoid long queues .

Prediction Hereford 0 -2 Walsall - Ricketts with a brace .

Update - Match now all ticket.

Up in North Wales at the caravan this coming weekend so shan't be making this one my first game of the season, but on paper it looks like a Saddlers' win - say 3-1 (though me saying that will almost certainly produce the opposite effect).

Hoping to make an accessible away game soon, must check the fixtures for suitable locations.

I've predicted 1-1 for the past 3 games and we've ended up winning so i'll go 1-1 Ricketts.

A friend of mine, who supports Leeds (yeah, I know that I have no sense of shame. I'll be friends with any-one), who went to last Saturday's game v. Hereford said that the score was only 1-0 to Leeds because of (a) Leeds' very poor finishing and (b) an outstanding display by the Hereford 'keeper (Furlong?).

Is Kris Taylor still playing for Hereford?

Yes. And he's been in the team more often than not so far this season - so we should get a chance to have a look at whether he's made any progress on Saturday.

Darren Randolph played for them in goal and he was meant to be superb by all accounts. I think Kris Taylor was on the bench against Leeds on Saturday but came on for the last 10mins according to BBC Sport.

This will be a real scrap. A draw would not surprise me, but I'll go for 1-0 to us [Ricketts pen].

As long as we go with the right attitude, we'll be okay.

From what I've heard Hereford haven't been playing that badly, so we'll have to be careful.

I'll go for a 1-0 win, Mattis 44th min :P

Have been down to Bescot this morning to buy my ticket.

The girl in the shop said there are quite a few tickets left, however they are selling briskly.

I've got a bad feeling about this. Everyone is feeling more positive about things - just the sort of time that the Saddlers traditionally put in a sub standard performance. And I think that Hereford have been a bit unlucky so far this season. They were very close to coming away with a draw at leeds on Saturday. But the biggest determining factor is that I share an office with a Bulls fan so we're bound to lose! Although I also share the office with a Brighton fan, so my logic may be a bit illogical in actual fact.

Anyway, I am going to predict 2-1 to the Bulls and hope I'm very wrong.

Sounds like they should have been hammered. It was only their keeper and Leeds missed chances that kept the score down.

However I agree, this is kind of game Walsall slip up in to keep our feet on the ground. :D Hope we can nick the win though because we need to get as many points on the board as possible before Leicester and Leeds to take the pressure off those games.

I think (or hope) we'll win 2-1. I say 2-1 rather than 2-0 because Chadwick is bound to score (a penalty) for them.
Mattis & Jabo for us.

The lads will win, and win good.

I may or may not see the first goal, depending how early we score it.

Chadwick for Hereford

Ricketts & Reich ( if he's playing)
